This course is for
Graduates of Intermediate English - B or people with a vocabulary of about 4000 words that can read material and understand a conversation or lecture on political, professional, scientific and theoretical topics but that still get “stuck” and make mistakes when they have to express themselves or handle a large amount of material.Duration
12 weeks that includes 24-36 learning hours.
Course structure and goals
The course focuses on food, relationships between people and animals, people and machines, acceptable and exceptional leisure activities, humor and more.
The grammatical aspect deals with “families” of words, countable and uncountable nouns, adjectives and their place and role in a sentence, adjectives that are derived from verbs and nouns that are derived from adjectives. We will also practice understanding unfamiliar words through their context.
Our reading skills expand and enable us to evaluate facts and distinguish between them and speculations, identify the structure and means of expression, identify conflicts and scan through text.
At the end of the course the student will
