This course is for
Graduates of English for Beginners A or people with a vocabulary of about 1000 words. People who vaguely remember basic grammar such as simple present tense, some definite and indefinite articles, and prepositions. People who can ask simple everyday questions and understand answers when spoken slowly in basic English, that can read simple instructions or short easy texts but cannot write independently.Duration
12 weeks that include 24-36 learning hours.
Course structure and goals
Course topics include the wonders of nature, fairytales, stories and ancient sites. Vocabulary includes words related to traveling through the desert, descriptions of buildings and landscapes, natural and human phenomenon, and the language of fairytales, myths and folk tales. We will learn through watching videos and presentations, reading texts and conversing on topics related to our travels around the world.
The grammar will include various topics, for example: verbs that express a need, option, necessity, doubt, request, etc. as well as additional past, present and future tenses, expressions of feelings, conjunctions, complex sentences and conditional clauses.
We will practice spoken English by learning how to consult or give a recommendation, apologize, give an excuse, provide information and express reasons and results. We will practice writing through making task lists, reports, writing a short fairytale and plans for the future.
At the end of the course the student will
