This course is for

Graduates of Advanced English – A or people with a sound and active command of about 5000 words. People who can understand, converse and read English at different levels; everyday as well as professional English, who want to deepen and improve their knowledge and exercise using advanced skills that will provide them with even more confidence when communicating in English.

Duration

12 weeks that includes 24-36 learning hours.

Course structure and goals

The course deals in choosing a career, natural disasters, famous people, hobbies and the Seven Wonders of the World.

We will focus on improving our reading skills and practice scanning text vs. reading every detail, and the need to choose between them. We will learn to understand biographies and CVs and the logical stream of facts and arguments.

The grammar topics will expand and deepen what was learned in previous courses and refresh the rules for those who joined the program in later stages.

At the end of the course the student will

understand prolonged conversation, even when it is not structured properly.
understand TV programs and movies.
understand texts and complex articles from different fields.
express themselves and use English fluently in social situations.
present clear and organized descriptions of complex subjects.
express themselves through writing clear and well structured text.
match their writing style to different audiences.
summarize a story, article, discussion etc., express an opinion and answer questions about it.
combine information and arguments from different sources and report about it.
